Love fried okra? Try the Okra Rica-Rica Edamame dish. This dish is made with a combination of sago flour and Edamame Edashi, providing a delicious, spicy texture that’s perfect for a lunch packed meal.
Ingredients
- Edamame Edashi 100 grams
- Okra 150 grams
- Sago flour 100 grams
- Egg 1 piece
- Bird’s eye chili 4 grams
- Red chili 50 grams
- Kaffir lime leaves 4 leaves
- Lemongrass 1 stalk
- Salt 1/4 tsp
- Pepper 1/4 tsp
- Powdered broth 1/2 tsp
- Sugar to taste
Preparation Steps
- Soak Edamame Edashi in hot water for 2 minutes, then peel off the skin. Set aside.
- Coat the okra with sago flour.
- Dip the okra into the beaten egg, then coat it again with sago flour.
- Fry the okra in hot oil until golden brown. Set aside.
- Sauté the red chilies until wilted, then blend them together with kaffir lime leaves and bird’s eye chili, adding a little oil.
- Sauté the blended spice mixture until it turns red and oily.
- Add the lemongrass to the sautéed spices, then add salt, pepper, powdered broth, and sugar.
- Add the fried okra and cook until well combined.
- Add the Edamame Edashi and mix until evenly combined.
- Okra Rica-Rica Edamame is ready to serve.
