Love fried okra? Try the Okra Rica-Rica Edamame dish. This dish is made with a combination of sago flour and Edamame Edashi, providing a delicious, spicy texture that’s perfect for a lunch packed meal.

Ingredients

  1. Edamame Edashi 100 grams
  2. Okra 150 grams
  3. Sago flour 100 grams
  4. Egg 1 piece
  5. Bird’s eye chili 4 grams
  6. Red chili 50 grams
  7. Kaffir lime leaves 4 leaves
  8. Lemongrass 1 stalk
  9. Salt 1/4 tsp
  10. Pepper 1/4 tsp
  11. Powdered broth 1/2 tsp
  12. Sugar to taste

Preparation Steps

  1. Soak Edamame Edashi in hot water for 2 minutes, then peel off the skin. Set aside.
  2. Coat the okra with sago flour.
  3. Dip the okra into the beaten egg, then coat it again with sago flour.
  4. Fry the okra in hot oil until golden brown. Set aside.
  5. Sauté the red chilies until wilted, then blend them together with kaffir lime leaves and bird’s eye chili, adding a little oil.
  6. Sauté the blended spice mixture until it turns red and oily.
  7. Add the lemongrass to the sautéed spices, then add salt, pepper, powdered broth, and sugar.
  8. Add the fried okra and cook until well combined.
  9. Add the Edamame Edashi and mix until evenly combined.
  10. Okra Rica-Rica Edamame is ready to serve.
