Craving a healthier fried snack? Try Bitterbalen Edamame. This snack is made with Edashi Edamame, mixed with Sago Flour, and filled with beef for a nutritious twist on the classic fried treat.
Ingredients
- Edashi Edamame – 150 grams
- Sago Flour – 55 grams
- Egg – 1
- Beef – 250 grams
- Butter – 20 grams
- Chopped Onion – 3 tbsp
- Chopped Celery – 1 tbsp
- Salt – ¼ tsp
- Pepper – ¼ tsp
- Nutmeg – ¼ tsp
- Seasoned Flour – 5 tbsp
Preparation Steps
- Soak Edashi Edamame in hot water for 2 minutes, then peel the skin and chop it. Set aside.
- Melt the butter in a pan over low heat, then sauté the chopped onion until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef, celery, salt, pepper, and nutmeg, then cook until aromatic.
- Pour in the broth and sago, then cook until the mixture thickens. Let it cool.
- Once the mixture has cooled, shape it into balls.
- Coat the balls with egg, then roll them in seasoned flour, and fry on medium heat until golden and cooked through.
- The Bitterballen is ready to serve.
