One of the healthy desserts to enjoy after lunch or dinner, Edamame Cake Dessert. This cake is made using a combination of Sago Flour and Edashi Edamame, providing a delicious texture and a healthier option.
Ingredients Cake Edamame
- Edashi Edamame – 200 grams
- Sago Flour – 100 grams
- Rice Flour – 80 grams
- Brown Sugar – 125 grams
- Melted Butter – 10 grams
- Eggs – 3 pieces
- Baking Powder – ½ tsp
- Vanilla Extract – ½ tsp
Cream coklat
- Rice Flour – 2 ½ tbsp
- Liquid Milk – 500 ml
- Powdered Sugar – 60 grams
- Cocoa Powder – 2 tbsp
- Cream – 140 grams
- Ground Coffee – 1 tsp
- A Pinch of Salt
- Dark Chocolate – 100 grams
Preparation Steps
- Soak Edashi Edamame in hot water for 2 minutes, then peel the skins.
- Blend the peeled Edashi Edamame until smooth. Set aside.
- Whisk eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla until fluffy using a mixer.
- In a separate bowl, mix sago flour, rice flour, baking powder, and cinnamon, then stir until well combined.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients using a spatula.
- Slowly add the blended edamame into the mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.
- Add melted butter to the batter, stirring until well mixed.
- Pour the batter into a cake mold, filling it almost to the top.
- Bake in the oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.
- Let the cake cool at room temperature, then cut it into pieces according to the size of your jar. Set aside.
- To make the cream layer, mix rice flour, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar until well combined.
- Add liquid milk and stir until smooth.
- Strain the mixture into a pot, then add the cream.
- Cook the mixture on low heat until it thickens.
- Add ground coffee, salt, and dark chocolate, then stir until fully mixed.
- Let the mixture cool at room temperature.
- Place the cake pieces into a jar, pour the cream over the cake, and add another layer of cake on top. Repeat until the jar is full.
- Edamame Cake Dessert is ready to serve.
