Something is missing without you, something is incomplete without sambal. Here it is, Fried Edamame Sambal, the perfect side dish. This dish is made with protein- and magnesium-rich Edashi Edamame, combined with chicken liver and gizzard, and flavored with chili spices. It’s absolutely delicious, especially when served with rice.
Ingredients
- Edashi Edamame – 300 grams
- Chicken liver and gizzard – 300 grams
- Tofu – 150 grams
- Red chili – 500 grams
- Shallots – 3 cloves
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Kaffir lime leaves – 5 leaves
- Lemongrass – 1 stalk
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Pepper – 1/2 tsp
- Cooking oil – as needed
Preparation Steps
- Blend the red chili, shallots, garlic, and a bit of oil until smooth.
- Cut the chicken liver and gizzard, and tofu into pieces according to your preference.
- Sauté the blended spices, then add the kaffir lime leaves and lemongrass.
- Add the chicken liver, gizzard, tofu, and peeled Edashi Edamame. Cook and stir until well combined.
- The Fried Edamame Sambal is ready to serve.
