A fried snack that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from children to adults. Here is the Fried Edamame Croquette, made with a combination of two brands, Sapapua sago flour and Edashi Edamame, with beef and carrots as the filling. The texture is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a savory flavor.
Ingredients
- Fried potatoes 250 grams
- Sago flour 75 grams
- Eggs 1 piece
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Powdered broth ½ teaspoon
- Pepper ¼ teaspoon
- Seasoned flour
Filling Ingredients
- Edashi Edamame 100 grams
- Sago Flour 1 tablespoon
- Beef 100 grams
- Carrot 40 grams
- Onion 30 grams
- Cooking oil 30 grams
- Water 50 ml
- Salt 1 gram
- Sugar 7.5 grams
- Pepper 1 gram
- Powdered broth 2 grams
- Oyster sauce 5 grams
- Sweet soy sauce 15 grams
- Soy sauce 5 grams
- Sesame oil 2.5 grams
Preparation Steps
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Prepare the filling by sautéing chopped onions until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef and sauté until half-cooked.
- Add the diced carrots, edamame, water, salt, sugar, pepper, powdered broth, sweet soy sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and a little sago.
- Add more water, oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce, chopped chilies, spring onions, and other seasonings, then cook until it boils and is fully cooked.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
- Mash the fried potatoes until smooth using a pestle.
- Add 1 egg and mix well.
- Add salt, pepper, and powdered broth, and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add sago, mixing until smooth.
- Take a portion of the dough, flatten it, place the filling on top, and seal the filling with the dough completely.
- Beat 1 egg, dip the croquettes into the egg, then coat with Sapapua® seasoned flour.
- Fry over medium heat until golden brown.
- Remove and drain.
- The Edamame Croquettes are ready to be served.
