A fried snack that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from children to adults. Here is the Fried Edamame Croquette, made with a combination of two brands, Sapapua sago flour and Edashi Edamame, with beef and carrots as the filling. The texture is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a savory flavor.

Ingredients

  1. Fried potatoes 250 grams
  2. Sago flour 75 grams
  3. Eggs 1 piece
  4. Salt 1 teaspoon
  5. Powdered broth ½ teaspoon
  6. Pepper ¼ teaspoon
  7. Seasoned flour

Filling Ingredients

  1. Edashi Edamame 100 grams
  2. Sago Flour 1 tablespoon
  3. Beef 100 grams
  4. Carrot 40 grams
  5. Onion 30 grams
  6. Cooking oil 30 grams
  7. Water 50 ml
  8. Salt 1 gram
  9. Sugar 7.5 grams
  10. Pepper 1 gram
  11. Powdered broth 2 grams
  12. Oyster sauce 5 grams
  13. Sweet soy sauce 15 grams
  14. Soy sauce 5 grams
  15. Sesame oil 2.5 grams

Preparation Steps

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Prepare the filling by sautéing chopped onions until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground beef and sauté until half-cooked.
  4. Add the diced carrots, edamame, water, salt, sugar, pepper, powdered broth, sweet soy sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and a little sago.
  5. Add more water, oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce, chopped chilies, spring onions, and other seasonings, then cook until it boils and is fully cooked.
  6. Remove from heat and set aside.
  7. Mash the fried potatoes until smooth using a pestle.
  8. Add 1 egg and mix well.
  9. Add salt, pepper, and powdered broth, and mix until well combined.
  10. Gradually add sago, mixing until smooth.
  11. Take a portion of the dough, flatten it, place the filling on top, and seal the filling with the dough completely.
  12. Beat 1 egg, dip the croquettes into the egg, then coat with Sapapua® seasoned flour.
  13. Fry over medium heat until golden brown.
  14. Remove and drain.
  15. The Edamame Croquettes are ready to be served.
