One of the traditional fried snacks that is just as delicious and healthy, Fried Edamame Fritters. This snack is made using Edashi Edamame as the main ingredient, offering a savory flavor, soft texture, and is rich in protein.

Ingredients

  1. Edashi Edamame 100 grams
  2. Potatoes 300 grams
  3. Garlic 3 cloves
  4. Shallots 2 cloves
  5. Eggs 2 pieces
  6. Celery 1 stalk
  7. Salt ½ teaspoon
  8. Pepper ½ teaspoon
  9. Cooking oil as needed

Preparation Steps

  1. Soak the Edashi Edamame in hot water for 2 minutes, then peel off the skin and roughly chop. Set aside.
  2. Wash the potatoes, then boil until tender. Once cooled, peel the skin and mash until smooth.
  3. Blend the shallots and garlic using a blender or mortar and pestle.
  4. Sauté the blended spices until fragrant and golden.
  5. Mix the sautéed spices with the mashed potatoes, one egg, chopped celery, pepper, and salt, then stir until well combined.
  6. Add the edamame and mix again until evenly distributed.
  7. Shape the mixture into flat round patties.
  8. Dip the patties into beaten egg yolk.
  9. Fry in hot oil until golden brown and crispy.
  10. The Edamame Fritters are ready to serve.
