Bolognese sauce, a classic European dish that is very popular due to its simple preparation and basic ingredients. It’s especially delicious when mixed with spaghetti pasta made from sago flour, Edashi Edamame, and meatballs.
Ingredients
- Red tomatoes, 250 grams
- Onion, 50 grams
- Garlic, 3 cloves
- Carrot, 30 grams
- Celery stalk, 20 grams
- Tomato paste, 3 tsp
- Salt, 1 tsp
- Black pepper, ¼ tsp
- Sugar, 1 tsp
- Water, 250 ml
Preparation Steps
- Prepare the tomatoes by scoring the skin in an X shape. Boil for 5 minutes. Peel the skin off and blend the tomatoes.
- Finely chop the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery stalk, then set aside.
- Heat a pan and add enough oil. Sauté the garlic, onion, and celery.
- Add the carrot, tomato juice, tomato paste, and water. Cover the pot and cook over low heat until it reduces.
- Add oregano, salt, pepper, and sugar.
- Cook again on low heat with the lid on until it thickens and reduces.
- The Bolognese sauce is ready to use.
